Cat Left At Yellowstone Makes Way Back To Northern California

Cat left at Yellowstone makes way back to Northern California

Missing for 3 years, the feline made an arduous journey home.

A cat who was left at Yellowstone National Park three years ago has made her way back home to Northern California. The cat, named Whiskers, was reunited with her owner, Nancy Prescott, on Tuesday. Prescott said she was shocked and overjoyed to see Whiskers again. She had given up hope of ever finding her again. "I was so happy to see her," Prescott said. "I couldn't believe it." Whiskers was left at Yellowstone in 2019 when Prescott and her family were on vacation. The family was driving through the park when Whiskers jumped out of the car window. Prescott said she and her family searched for Whiskers for hours, but they couldn't find her. They eventually had to leave the park without her. Prescott said she never gave up hope of finding Whiskers. She posted about her on social media and contacted animal shelters in the area. In early 2023, Prescott received a call from a woman who said she had found Whiskers. The woman said she had found the cat wandering around her property in Northern California. Prescott said she was so grateful to the woman who found Whiskers. She said she couldn't wait to be reunited with her cat. Whiskers is now back home with Prescott and her family. She is doing well and is happy to be back home. Prescott said she is thankful that Whiskers made it back home safely. She said she is not sure how the cat made the journey, but she is just glad to have her back. "She's a miracle cat," Prescott said.
