Dodgers Tommy Edman Not Starting Friday

Dodgers' Tommy Edman: Not starting Friday

Dodgers' middle infielder Tommy Edman has been a key part of the team's success this season, but he will not be starting Friday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Manager Dave Roberts said that Edman is dealing with a minor hamstring injury and will be given a day off to rest. Edman has been playing through the injury for the past few weeks, but Roberts said that he is not yet 100% healthy.

Edman is hitting .285 with an on-base percentage of .360 and a slugging percentage of .460 this season. He has also stolen 15 bases and been a strong defender at second base.

With Edman out of the lineup, Chris Taylor will start at second base and bat leadoff. Taylor is hitting .270 with a .350 on-base percentage and a .450 slugging percentage this season. He has also stolen 10 bases.

The Dodgers are hoping that Edman will be able to return to the lineup soon. He is a key part of the team's offense and defense, and his absence will be felt.
