As of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the United States leads the all-time medal count with a total of 2,822 medals, including 1,138 gold medals. The Soviet Union is second with 1,204 medals, followed by Great Britain with 1,052 medals and Germany with 1,044 medals. France is fifth with 995 medals.
